Our writers:

Robert Abruzzese started blogging back in 2005 when he started his own blog In The Dirt. After a short while he hooked on with Hot Stove New York, but after nearly two years of service there he left to start Bronx Baseball Daily in November 2008. Graduated from Brooklyn College with degrees in Journalism and Political Science, Robert has also worked at the NY Daily News and Pinstripes Plus magazine.

Brian Burkhart graduated from Hamilton College in 2004 and currently teaches at a private school in New Jersey.  He started a Yankees blog called Rivera’s Cutter in 2006.  Turn-ons include: Aaron Boone’s Yankee career, “Enter Sandman” being played late in a close ballgame, looking at David Ortiz’ 2009 stats, and holding on to young prospects.  Turn-offs include: Joba in the bullpen, Curt Schilling speaking, overpaying middle relievers, and any announcer employed by FOX or ESPN.

Steven Schwartz was born in Long Island, NY and has been a Yankees fan since he was a wee lad.  Hei s currently attending SUNY Binghamton University and is going for an accounting degree. He started the blog, The Yankees: Minors to Majors, back in October 2007 and briefly wrote for The Voice of the Yankee Universe as well before joining Bronx Baseball Daily.

Dan LaTorraca graduated from the University of Scranton in 2009 with a double major in English and Communication and a minor in Journalism. In 2007, he created his own blog, Pinstripes, Pa. which focused on the New York and Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees. Dan spent three seasons covering the S/WB Yankees for Pinstripes Plus Magazine and has done work for the Scranton Times and served as the sports editor for his college newspaper.

Stephen Crociata is from the Bronx who started blogging at his own blog, Stealing First, before he shut it down to join The Pinstriper. He is a die hard Yankees fan who also follows the NY Giants, Colorado Avalanche, Denver Nuggets, Oregon State Beavers, and the Penn State Nittany Lions. Currently he is a sophomore at Iona College studying Sports Management.

Dan Reiner has lived in Northern Westchester, New York his entire life, which has only been fifteen years. Though he is just in high school, he shows a much greater extent of sports knowledge than your stereotypical teenager. He is also an avid Giants, Knicks, Rangers and PSU Nittany Lions fan, when he is not participating in sports for school. His only prior Yankee writing was for the Pinstriper, but writes his own football blog called A View of the Sentinels. He also looks forward to studying journalism and communications in college.

Peter Menking grew up in the Tri-State area and inherited his love of the Yankees and his dislike of Boston teams from his grandfather. He started blogging for The Pinstriper but then began writing for Bronx Baseball Daily at the beginning of 2010. Currently a sophomore at Williams College, he is studying History and Philosophy. He still thinks Mad Dog is better than Mike.

Jason Kozlowski is from the Buffalo, NY area, and is completing his PhD in US and Labor History at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. A Yankees fan since the days of Munson, Reggie, and Gator, he has run Heartland Pinstripes since 2008 before joining BBD in February 2010. His favorite Yankee memories are too long to list here, but he plans to write about some of them in the near future.

Chris Barrows has been blogging since 2007 when he created Pinstriped Scranton. Chris blogged from PNC Field in Scranton, PA while covering the Triple-A Scranton Yankees for Pinstripes Plus Magazine where he worked for 3 years.
